What you get

What is a WordPress to Webflow migration?

A WordPress to Webflow migration moves a website's design, pages, blog posts and images from WordPress into a new Webflow site. Posts are exported from WordPress and imported into Webflow CMS collections. Old URLs get 301 redirects to their new homes, so links and rankings carry over. Plugins are replaced with Webflow features or simple embeds.

Content inventory

We list every page, post and file on the WordPress site and decide with you what moves, what merges and what retires.

Blog import

WordPress posts are exported, cleaned up and imported into a Webflow CMS collection with matching fields.

Redirect map

Every old URL is matched to a new one and added as a 301 redirect, so Google and old links land in the right place.

Plugin replacement

Forms, sliders, SEO plugins and galleries are rebuilt with Webflow features or a light embed.

Fresh design

Moving is a good time to fix the look. We redesign as we go, or match the current site if you prefer.

Post-move checks

After launch, we check Search Console for errors and fix any missing redirects quickly.

How it works

How we move a site from WordPress to Webflow.

  • 1We crawl your WordPress site and pull your top pages from analytics and Search Console.
  • 2We plan the new structure in Webflow and set up CMS collections for posts and other content.
  • 3We export posts from WordPress, convert them, and import them into Webflow from a CSV file.
  • 4We build the pages, rebuild forms and features, and add 301 redirects for every changed URL.
  • 5We launch, point the domain to Webflow, and check Search Console for crawl errors.

Webflow's own guide covers exporting WordPress content and importing it into CMS collections from a CSV file.

Common questions

WordPress to Webflow questions, answered.

Will I lose my Google rankings if I leave WordPress?

Not if the move is planned. We keep URLs the same where we can and set 301 redirects where they change. We carry over titles, descriptions and the content that ranks. After launch, we check Search Console for errors. Some movement is normal, but a careful move protects what you built.

Can you move all my blog posts?

Yes. WordPress exports posts as an XML file, which we convert and import into a Webflow CMS collection. Webflow plans have CMS item limits, so if you have a very large archive, we check the numbers first and help you decide which old posts are worth keeping.

What happens to my plugins?

Most plugins are not needed in Webflow. SEO settings, forms, the sitemap and SSL are built in. Things like booking tools, chat or reviews come in as embeds. If a plugin does something unusual, we list it up front and find a Webflow way to do the same job.

How much does a WordPress to Webflow move cost?

Two parts. Your Webflow plan is paid to Webflow, as listed at webflow.com/pricing. Our fee depends on the number of pages and posts, how much the design changes, and which features need rebuilding. We put it in writing after a 30-minute call and a look at your current site.

Will my email stop working when the site moves?

It should not. Moving a website changes the records that point your domain to the site, not the ones that handle email. We review your DNS settings before launch and only change what the website needs, so your inbox keeps working.

Let's talk about leaving WordPress.

Share your WordPress site before the call. Mike will look at its size, plugins and traffic, and tell you what moving to Webflow would involve.
