Four leaks quietly hand your jobs to someone else every week. Here's what each one costs — and exactly how we plug it.
What it costs MIT research found a homeowner contacted within 5 minutes is 21× more likely to become a real lead — and 100× more likely to even pick up — than one called back 30 minutes later. Every call you miss is a job the next company books.
How we fix it Missed-call text-back, speed-to-lead automation, and 24/7 booking — so no lead ever hits voicemail and disappears.
What it costs Google now answers nearly half of all searches with AI before anyone clicks a single website — and ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI hand back one contractor by name. If that name isn't yours, you were never in the running.
How we fix it GEO & AEO — we get your business cited and recommended inside the AI answers homeowners actually read.
What it costs The top three Google Map results and Local Services Ads absorb the calls. Everyone ranked below them fights over the scraps — and most homeowners never scroll that far.
How we fix it Local SEO, a dialed-in Google Business Profile, and Local Services Ads management that put you in the top three — where the calls actually happen.
What it costs Given two companies, homeowners pick the one with hundreds of recent 5-star reviews over the one with a handful — before they ever dial. Fresh, steady reviews are table stakes now, not a bonus.
How we fix it Automated review generation that turns every finished job into new 5-star proof — on autopilot.

Roofing is the least steady trade in Tampa Bay and the most misunderstood. Demand does not accumulate evenly the way it does in plumbing or electrical. It arrives in waves, triggered by weather and by insurance pressure, and a company that spends the same amount every month is guaranteed to be underspending during the wave and overspending outside it.
There are three distinct searchers and they need three different pages. The damage searcher is urgent and specific: "roof leak repair", "emergency tarp", "storm damage roof". They convert fast and they judge you on how quickly someone gets on the roof. The replacement searcher is the opposite — weeks of research, multiple quotes, questions about materials, warranty and financing: "roof replacement cost", "tile vs shingle", "how long does a roof last in Florida", "roof financing". The third is the insurance searcher, who is not really shopping for a roof at all. They are trying to understand a letter from their carrier, an inspection result, or a claim, and the contractor who explains that process clearly gets the call before anyone talks about price.
Weather is the obvious factor: hurricane season, and a long stretch of severe afternoon storms and wind events that produce damage without ever making the news. Insurance is the less obvious one, and it may matter more. Roof age and condition carry unusual weight in Florida property insurance, and homeowners routinely arrive at a roofing decision because of a renewal, an inspection or a non-renewal notice rather than because of a visible leak. That reframes the whole sale: the contractor is often solving an insurance problem, not a water problem. Material mix is a third factor — tile, metal and shingle each carry different price points, crews and timelines, and lumping them into one page loses the highest-ticket searcher. Finally, this market draws out-of-area storm chasers after every major event, which makes local permanence, licensing and a verifiable local presence a real competitive advantage rather than a boilerplate trust badge.
The wave runs with hurricane season, roughly June through November, and it does not require a direct hit — a near miss or a severe wind event produces the same surge of inspections and claims. After a significant storm, search demand and competition both spike within days, and response time decides who wins. The off-season, late winter into early spring, is when replacement research happens calmly and when a company should be building content, harvesting reviews and booking insurance-driven replacements that are not urgent. Going dark in the quiet months is why so many roofers feel like they are starting from zero every June.
Measure speed to first contact during storm windows in hours, because that number decides the season. Track lead source split between search, referral and canvassing so you know what you actually own. Separate repair revenue from replacement revenue and watch the mix — repair-heavy months look busy and pay poorly. Track quote-to-close by material type, since tile and shingle buyers behave differently. And measure how many insurance-driven conversations turn into signed work, because that is the segment most competitors are ignoring entirely.
No, but you should not spend evenly either. Hold budget in reserve for storm windows, when demand and competition both spike and speed decides everything. Then run a smaller, content-heavy presence in the quiet months to capture the calm replacement researcher and the insurance-driven homeowner, who are both cheaper to reach and less price-sensitive than a post-storm lead.
Make local permanence impossible to miss. A real address, license numbers, named crew, years in the market, local reviews with recent dates, and photos of work in recognizable neighborhoods. Homeowners in this region are wary of storm chasers, so proof that you will still exist in three years when the warranty matters is a stronger argument than any discount.
It is the most under-served segment in the trade. Those homeowners are confused, under a deadline, and searching for an explanation rather than a price. Clear, honest content about inspections, roof age, documentation and what to expect from the process earns the call early, before the conversation ever becomes a bidding contest.
