Four leaks quietly hand your jobs to someone else every week. Here's what each one costs — and exactly how we plug it.
What it costs MIT research found a homeowner contacted within 5 minutes is 21× more likely to become a real lead — and 100× more likely to even pick up — than one called back 30 minutes later. Every call you miss is a job the next company books.
How we fix it Missed-call text-back, speed-to-lead automation, and 24/7 booking — so no lead ever hits voicemail and disappears.
What it costs Google now answers nearly half of all searches with AI before anyone clicks a single website — and ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI hand back one contractor by name. If that name isn't yours, you were never in the running.
How we fix it GEO & AEO — we get your business cited and recommended inside the AI answers homeowners actually read.
What it costs The top three Google Map results and Local Services Ads absorb the calls. Everyone ranked below them fights over the scraps — and most homeowners never scroll that far.
How we fix it Local SEO, a dialed-in Google Business Profile, and Local Services Ads management that put you in the top three — where the calls actually happen.
What it costs Given two companies, homeowners pick the one with hundreds of recent 5-star reviews over the one with a handful — before they ever dial. Fresh, steady reviews are table stakes now, not a bonus.
How we fix it Automated review generation that turns every finished job into new 5-star proof — on autopilot.

Concrete work in Tampa Bay is sold on two things: proof that you have poured the exact finish the homeowner is picturing, and a credible answer about the ground underneath it. Sandy soil and a high water table make base preparation the real job, even though nobody shops for it. Companies that win estimates document subgrade prep and show finished work in the neighborhoods they actually serve.
Searches split by outcome, not by trade. People type driveway replacement, pool deck resurfacing, paver installation near me, stamped concrete patio and seawall repair far more often than they type concrete contractor. Almost none of it is emergency work. Most searching happens on a phone in the evening or on a laptop over a weekend, and it is heavily visual, because the buyer is hunting for a photo of a finish they can point at. Expect a homeowner to contact three or four companies, take site visits from two or three, and sit on the decision for several weeks while they price it against other projects. Whoever delivers the written bid first usually sets the comparison everyone else gets measured against.
Ticket sizes land well above a service call and well below a roof, and the work is one time. There is no maintenance contract underneath it, so every month starts at zero. Permits are common for driveway aprons and any work in the right of way, and HOA approval slows residential jobs in newer Hillsborough and Pasco subdivisions. Insurance rarely pays and financing is occasional rather than standard. National lead sellers are less dominant here than in service trades, but you compete with pool builders, hardscape and landscape crews, and handymen who will pour a small slab. The decision is usually made by a couple together, and appearance carries as much weight as price.
The calendar is set by rain, not by cold. From June through September, near daily afternoon thunderstorms compress the pour window into the early morning, and crews lose days to washouts and saturated subgrade. October through May is the productive stretch: drier ground, cooler mornings, longer usable days, and winter residents arriving between November and April who want work finished while they are in town. Backlog builds through the dry season and thins out in deep summer. Smart operators sell the wet months differently. They push covered and shaded work such as pool deck resurfacing under an existing cage, garage floors and lanai slabs, and they use July and August to pre sell the November through March schedule.
Cost per lead tells you almost nothing in a one time, high consideration trade. Track bid to close rate by service type, because stamped patios and driveway tear outs close at very different rates and averaging them hides the problem. Track hours from site visit to delivered written bid, since that number moves close rate more than ad spend does. Track average job value by service so you know which searches are worth ranking for. Pull all of it from call recordings, your estimating software and a plain record of where each signed job came from. Automatic last touch attribution will credit whatever the customer clicked most recently.
Publish square foot ranges for the common services and say plainly what moves the number: tear out of an existing slab, thickness, base and fill, reinforcement and finish. Ranges filter out people shopping for a price you will never hit, and they build trust with the ones who are serious. Refusing to say anything sends the careful buyer straight to the next company.
Yes. They are different searches, different buyers and different margins. Someone searching paver installation is comparing you against hardscape and landscape crews rather than concrete finishers, and they want base depth, joint sand and sealing addressed. One combined services page competes weakly for both terms. Separate pages also let you put the right photo gallery in front of the right visitor.
Sell work the weather does not stop, and use the trough to fill the dry season. Pool deck resurfacing under an existing cage, garage floors, interior slab repair and prep work all continue through summer storms. At the same time, run your marketing hardest in July and August so the October through March calendar is already booked when the ground dries out.
