What Clients Say

What Tampa Bay owners say

Here is what owners say after we take marketing off their plate. Read them, then check our Google reviews yourself.

I Loved working with the team at Forty Second Street! First, it's great that they can help with so many different parts of my business. For my business, they designed a website, created a logo, developed labels and names for different products, and created a marketing strategy. Their team is Super talented and fun to work with, their services are affordable, and the quality of their work was well beyond what I expected. One of the greatest moments of my new business was at the logo and labels reveal when I knew that what they created for me was way better than my competitors who are a national company out of Boston. I definitely recommend Forty Second Street!

Justin

They rebuilt our website and it finally works like a salesman instead of a brochure. Calls started coming from the site inside the first month. If your site is not booking work, talk to them.

Sydney

They gave us a logo that actually looks like us. It reads on a truck door at forty miles an hour, which is the only test that matters in this business. We are thrilled with it.

Bill

We looked like every other outfit in the county. They fixed that. Trucks, shirts, estimates, website, all of it matches now, and we stopped losing bids on price alone.

Homeowners in Tampa Bay do not read your reviews. They scan the star rating, read the two most recent, and check whether you bothered to reply. That decision takes about fifteen seconds, and it happens before anyone ever reaches your website.

Why reviews decide who gets the call

Google ranks local businesses on three things: relevance, distance and prominence. Reviews feed prominence harder than anything else you actually control — volume, recency, average rating, and whether you respond. Two contractors can sit the same distance from the same homeowner, and one shows up in the Map Pack while the other sits on page two. Usually the difference is not the truck or the crew. It is who has fresh reviews and who stopped asking eighteen months ago.

And now they decide what AI says about you

ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity do not have a favorite contractor. They summarize what the web already says about you. Review text is the single largest body of language other people have written about your company, so when someone asks an AI who to call for a burst pipe in Brandon or a failed AC in Wesley Chapel, the answer leans on the words your customers used. Reviews are no longer just reputation. They are the source material AI reads before it recommends anyone.

The Review Engine

How the review engine works

Ask at the right moment. A review request goes out by text and email right after the job wraps, while the homeowner is still glad you showed up. No sticky notes, no remembering at 9pm.

One tap to Google. The link drops the customer directly into your Google review box. Every extra step loses people, so there are no extra steps.

Every review gets a reply. Five stars or two, every review gets a professional response. Google reads your response rate, and the next homeowner reads how you handle criticism.

Proof goes to work. Fresh reviews get pulled onto your website with structured data, so Google and AI tools can read them as evidence instead of decoration.

You see the scoreboard. Volume, rating, recency and response rate in one monthly report, so you watch the engine run instead of taking our word for it.

What we will not do

We do not buy reviews, write reviews, or gate them behind a satisfaction filter that only lets happy customers through. Google prohibits all of it, and the FTC's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials carries real penalties for fake and suppressed feedback. The risk sits on your profile, not on ours. Everything above is a system for asking real customers at the right moment and answering every one of them.

Why this compounds

A working review engine is the cheapest lead source a contractor has, because the jobs you already finished keep selling the next ones. More reviews raise Map Pack visibility, visibility brings more calls, more jobs produce more reviews. It builds on itself quietly and it costs nothing per lead. Most contractors never start it, not because they disagree, but because it is one more thing to remember at the end of a fourteen-hour day. That is exactly why we automate it instead of handing you a checklist.
