Quote requests up 3.0x on flat traffic

A Tri-Cities fence company with great work had a site that hid it. Rebuilding around the quote form tripled requests on the same traffic.

Watauga Fence & Gate case study

The situation

Watauga builds genuinely good fence and gets referred, drawing about 2,300 sessions a month and roughly 29 quote requests.

The owner had been quoted a five-figure SEO retainer. He did not need more traffic.

The problem

The quote form sat at the bottom of the contact page and asked for eleven fields, well below the fold on mobile.

The site loaded in 7.2 seconds, and every page said 'contact us for a custom quote' instead of naming a price.

The work

The results

Measured in Google Analytics and the form backend, sessions within 6% of the prior period.

Quote conversion rose 3.0x. Mobile load went from 7.2s to 1.7s. Monthly quote requests reached 88.

Honest note: some lift is simply a shorter form; the pricing page drove the quality improvement.

Same number of visitors, three times the quotes. I spent years thinking I had a traffic problem.

Before buying traffic, find out what your current traffic is doing.

Pull mobile load time and your quote-to-session rate. Under 2% conversion is a conversion problem, not a traffic one.
