What is the difference between shared leads and exclusive leads?

A shared lead is sold to several contractors at once, so you are racing three or four other companies to call first. An exclusive lead goes only to you, costs considerably more, and still is not the same as a customer who searched for your name.

With shared leads, speed-to-lead decides everything. If you cannot call back inside five minutes, you are usually buying someone else's booked job. Exclusive leads remove the race but keep the dependency, since the platform still owns the relationship and can raise the price whenever it wants.
