How do I redesign my website without losing my Google rankings?

Crawl and export every URL on the old site before you touch anything, then map each one to its match on the new site with a 301 redirect. Most ranking losses after a redesign come from URLs that quietly disappeared, not from the new design itself.

Keep the page titles, headings, and body copy on your best-performing pages instead of rewriting them for style. After launch, re-crawl for 404s, resubmit the sitemap in Search Console, and watch rankings weekly for 60 days. A dip in the first two to four weeks is normal; a dip that keeps going is a redirect problem.
