Only if you fix what caused the reviews first. A new name buys a clean search result for a few months, but it also throws away your ranking history, your review count, and your Maps position, and customers who were burned usually find the connection anyway.
The cheaper path is normally to repair in place: correct the operational failure, respond honestly to every negative review, rebuild volume with a consistent review request after each completed job, and refresh the look without changing the name. Rebrand only when the name itself is the liability, and expect to rebuild rankings from near zero.
