Google Business Profile & Maps

What should I do with a competitor's website and Google listing after I buy their company?

Keep the acquired website live and redirect it carefully rather than shutting it off. Much of what you paid for sits in that domain's links, rankings and Google reviews, and a hard shutdown throws it away in a week.

Run both sites for six to twelve months, then 301 redirect page by page to the closest matching page on your site, never everything to the homepage. If you are keeping the location, update the Google Business Profile name and details in place so the reviews stay attached; if you are closing it, mark it permanently closed instead of deleting it.
